CO2 thru X-Valve just for Leak Checks?

I know CO2 is a no-no for RT's and X's but I'm out of HPA right now but do have plenty of CO2. Is there really any issues running CO2 through an X-Valve STRICTLY for leak checks/troubleshooting?

I've run co2 through a Reto valve to trouble shoot before with no problems, just make sure you run a remote or hold the tank upright so no liquid can get in the valve (unless it's anti-siphon ofcourse)

Depending on the setup it could work. However, it could cause leaking such that you wouldn't know if it was leaking before or if this was a new leak caused by the CO2.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
