I missed that auction. I've been keeping my eye out for xvalves, butI was searching for "automag" and I don't think that came up in that auction.
That said i would not have touched this auction with a 10 foot pole.
I'm sure you're right that they weren't happy about the sale price so they bid it up with another account so they wouldn't have to settle up.Comment

It appears to have a ULT in it. Free shipping. It would be a good price for a trusted seller on AO. Not a great deal for the buyer. Someone must have really wanted it to put up with the odd listing and 0 feedback.Comment

Lots of shill bidding on eBay. Been buying and selling there for years. If you gonna buy something, you want to try and bid last second. They won't have a chance to do that. I was checking one guys feedback and the buyer said he canceled transaction. Probably didn't get what he wanted. I mean it sucks to not get what you want for something, but come on. You can't even check out the bidders because they block out the ID's. Otherwise you could investigate for yourself and find out. I saw a refurbished SP1 I was bidding on go for $183.00 plus $15 shipping. They were $179.00 new and could get free shipping- hmmmmm.Comment

A valve is $250 new, $232 shipped (in good shape, with ULT) is high but not scary high. I recently bought a like-new valve with springs and shims/spacers for $195, but it had a stock on/off... I'd look to pay $215-$220 for the valve in the auction, considering it just comes with the one spring. Bear in mind there are plenty of people out there who don't know that the MSRP on the X-valve as dropped so significantly in the last year.Originally posted by koleah
As for the seller, I see that type of situation a lot, and don't think much of it. Usually its "daddy" selling for his son on a personal account because the kids bored of it, though sometimes it's mommy paying off this months cellphone bill overages as a punishment.
