can flatlines be run reliably at 500 psi or a little less? im probably gonna buy one for my speed, since i want an adjustable tank and found a good deal on a flatline. so are they good at that pressure?

if your going to run 500psi or less I wqould look for a different tank, so you wont have to worry about shootdown.

the flatline tanks would have shootdown at that psi? have any suggestions on a good reg that can do all teh 500 psi lp stuff and even go up to 900 or so if i wanted?

well I've never really tested the flatline at or under 500psi but from what I've heard other people say is that its best performance is above it. Even AGD sayd its best used above 700psi:)

anyone know of a good tank for 500 psi and up use?

couple of notes

(one of which is restated in my PM)

1) the flatline should have no problem being consistant at 500psi. If you're OP is 300psi, you should have no shootdown from the TANK because it is set at 500psi. Perhaps some from the inline reg, yes, but the tank shouldnt hold you back

2) I've never seen ONE good reason why with an angel speed, running at 250psi, the tank's output pressure is better set at 500psi vs. 800psi. You're not going to be more efficient, you're not going to recharge faster, you're not getting anything....however...then again you arn't losing anything either....

so it really wont do ANYTHING at all?

im pretty well versed in air tech, and i see NO reason why running the tank at 500psi will make the gun preform beetter (or worse) than running it at 800psi.

then is it even worth it to get the tank lol . then again, the price is very similiar to that of a new preset tank

The Flatline will work great at an output of about 400-500psi if you use a spring pack out of the mag AIR valve.

Running too high of an output pressure will work your front reg. too hard. Most front regs that use a large piston are for lower pressure operation. The AKA Sidewinder manual states not to use an input pressure over 800psi. Mainly because you're going to put too much force on the piston seat. F=PA.

so i would NEED to buy a mag spring pack too? you knwo anything bout the reg seats? cuz even though tis at 220 whne the guy emailed me, its a broken tank

Does the Flatline work well with an Angel Speed?

http://home.pacbell.net/zoraks/angelspeed.jpg

I just got out of the shower after whoompin some ash today with that exact setup pictured. Like the great BlackVCG said, you will need a classic AIR spring pack, which is like $12.

I run mine at 415psi and it works flawless. Within 2fps over the chrono (when I have a good paint to barrel match and quality round paint) and I whail on the Speeds trigger and get no shootdown. I use the Flatline with my ULE E-mag and just swap spring packs. So with both spring packs you have a wide range of psi you can run your tank at.

In regards to the spring kit necessary to run the flatline at 400-500 psi, where does one find this particular kit? Can you post the link please, I was looking on AGD's site, but I wasn't sure what which item you guys were referring to. Thanks.

JT, Sensi mode 2, haven't had one chopped ball yet, not even a barrel break :)

I host my pics on my ISP's webspace they provide me, so it's not really free.

the only question now is, is it worth it to pay 220 shipped to have an expensive paperweight for who knows how long. heh
when i go play or whenever i get some air im gonna try with mode 2, cuz before it was in mode one, and would sometimes skip. oh and btw nachos, the guy i bought my speed from was an A$$ and lost the manual. any chance you could do me a HUGE favor and photo copy the manual for me? and sent it to me in the mail or something? id gladly any fees or w/e for it. can you help a fellow ao'er and speed owner out? :D

agd willl be hearing from me tomorrow ;) :D

Depends on how soon you want yer tank to work. Last I heard Tom had the reg seats and was testing them before he puts them up for sale.

As for the manual, why not just buy the real thing? Get it here: http://www.theangelguy.com/parts/index.html

Only $5, and in color :)

I run my Flatline at 500psi for my Eblade. I haven't had a single problem with shootdown. This is with the original spring pack. Actually, my flatline has been set at 500 for quite some time for both my cockers. No problems ever. If you want to use it right away, I wouldn't even bother to get the AIR spring pack, unless you notice a problem.

Nachos, do you mind if I post that picture on some other forums also? I love how that set up looks! real sweet :D

No problem manike :)

The Flatline will work at 500psi stock, but the classic spring pack is "tuned" for lower psi operation. Might as well, it's only $12, get it next time you order something from AGD.

well, you gusy think its worth it for me to get a 68 45 flatline hydro ends 2007, for 220 bux shipped even if its broke and will be a paperweight for a whilie?

If you're gonna run it into a secondary reg there is no need to get an adjustable. Just get a crossfire LP tank, they are preset at 450psi. Or if you want to do away with the inline reg, I've heard good things about the 03 conquests.

yeah but at 385 a pop thats not an option ;) :D
