I havent had any real problems....

Just empty your HPA tank and leave it open. (by screwing an asa on it in case of a screw-in) Then I leave a note attached stating that it is intentionally left open and at atmosphere in accordiance with DOT regulations.

They could care less about the markers. Just dont be trying to take them with you as a carry on, and you should be golden
