Lowering output...or something else?

I have a Crossfire high output tank, and finding the sweetspot is not hard at all, its actually stupidly easy. I want to keep the manual function available just in case, so I don't want to take the rod out. Should I try different length on off pins? Or is there some way to lower the output pressure of my tank without buying another reg?

You cannot ajust the output reg unless you get an ajustable reg tank. You can use a good aftermarket regulator, but then your going to be running a low pressure into the valve. I'm guessing you have an 850psi tank, which means you would want to set the reg around 650psi so that you have 200psi differance between all the regs.

If you have a .750 on/off pin (stock for X-valves and RT Pros), try getting ahold of a .755 pin. Check with AGD or Tunaman.

You won't want to lower your tank output. The level 10 bolt assembly can cause the chamber pressure to reach about 600 psi at a 300fps velocity setting. That would mean you should have at least 800 psi into your mag in order to maintain a good rate of recharge.

If you emag uses a .712" pin, maybe you can get one of the older .725" pins. I don't like to play with these things, but sometimes we have to in order to maintain tournament legal setups.

I'm going to have to argue that the regs on the back of the mag drop the pressure to 400 or 475 (I forget which) or within the general range depending on yoru velocity settings. Therefore nomatter what your input pressure is as long as it is higher than what the reg drops it too your gun will work. Now, if its only 2psi higher yeah your going to get horrible shootdown, but if its atleast 200psi higher than the reg you should be fine. Plenty of people run retros and rt's around 650 because thats how they like the trigger and they have no problmes. I'm sure people with the x-vavle do the same thing.

Pyro, the original front chamber pressure was about 400psi. The latest information is that the level 10 with the longer springs causes the front chamber pressures to be greatly increased. That is why many people are having recharge problems with their gun's input pressures turned down to less than 800psi.
