ok well here we go,if u are consitantly shooting lets say 270 fps( your velocity), then that means every econd the ball travels 270 feet. so if you multiplied that by 60 because 60 secs in a minute u then get 16200, then u multiply by 60 becuase 60 minutes in an hour. u then get 972000. thats how many feet per hour, next u divide by 5280, becuase thats how many feet in a mile. so in conclusion i have too much time on my hands, o and u then get 184.09 so that means the ball travels out of the barrel at 184 MPH. its pretty cool, and easy to do, here is the method
x= any number
xfps times 60 times 60 divided by 5280= how many Mph the ball travels.;)

an easier but slightly less accurate way would be to take fps * .68 (associate with paintball size) = mph. The .68 has nothing to do with the paintball caliber, it just happens to be the coefficient.

ya that is easier but it is less accurate

300 fps= 200mph. Known this for years. There were even stickers made............

Sounds like someone just learned how to do 9th grade unit multipliers :)

The actual mutiplier is .681818181818181..., Just using .68 is pretty accurate.

yeah, using .68 will get you as close as you need.:D
