i need to swap out a gauge on my max flo for a higher one,but the locktight is giving me a few problems.I was told by someone to heat it up,just remove the orings. Will this work?Any other suggestions?

i had the same thing but mine was broken so he smashed with a hammer then took off the fittings with vice grips i think you can manage it without smashed the gauge

well i think its locktite, its a red substace.it is brand new so maybe im mistaken.i guess that brings up another question,do i need to use locktite when putting the gauge back on?

yea, it's loctite. use a hairdryer to heat it up until you can unscrew it. when you put a new gauge in you don't have to use loctite, you could just use plumber's tape
