Hey, I was just wondering can paintball markers(specifically a classic mag) be run on pure compressed Oxygen?

You want a flame thrower, not a paintball gun? ;)

Why would you want to? Oxygen is flamable. one spark and BOOM.

That's why the air we breath is mostly nitrogen.

As it is, we're carrying around 4500 pound per square inch BOMBS next to our faces. Why introduce something MORE dangerous?

It's safer this way. :)

I believe by the time you compress oxygen to 3000 psi you will be in heaven playing paintball with the other fools that tried it...:D

Just to add...I know Tom did say that back in that day they have tried just about every "Safe" gas (including helium) to power paintball guns and found that N2 and compressed air were the cheapest with the best performance.

I still think we should use combustion to propel paintballs. :p

I still think I should attempt to fill one of my C02 tanks with propane and use that... That'd be so cool! :D

LOL

I actually new that, but for some reason it didn't register. Does anyone know where to find the info on the safe gas tests?
