As requested no front wings. I still left some bumps for interest.

thats nice tom!

and i think the lefty's are gonna get a kick outta this one

they're commin soon guys!! (warp left ULE's)

you guys need to laser engrave the airgun logo somewhere on the rail... maybe like the back face of the rail where its flat (under the valve)

I say it looks pretty nice, maybe if you smoothed the edges a bit it would look more flowing. If you know what I mean.. (I realise its a render but just making a point)

Round edges = more expensive

AGD

Can't do round edges, this is our LOW end rail!

I say put an agd gem in the front. Like JAM's

Or is that a left handed warp ULE???

The rail looks good. I like it much better with lesser wings on the front!

Looks really good.

Just to play devil's advocate: with all the machine problems you've had of late how will actuall production be handled?

Tom, when I thought of rounding the square front end, I pictured it in the other direction. What if the front wasn't flat, but it swooped up to meet the body? Is that meat needed to attach a fore grip? Regardless though its a very nice rail design.

looks really good. and a warp left ule just might get me to enjoy the greatness that a warp is.

Very nice :) Will these be ULE rails, i.e. all drilled out already?

I think some sort of tear drops in the front would be nice because of the tear drops on the ULEs

Just out of curiousity, you guys are still going to be producing the standard rails, right?

those seem like soldiworks pics

we design products and machines with it, SOlidworks
I am trying to design my own custom body for my classic and trying to get all the internal dimensions.

To be forward is there a drawing that you have made availble for people wanting to do this.

My brother does some machining on the side. and he can get the body body for me

thanks

I almost wish Tom would stop with the great ideas then I could stop spending money I really don't have.:D

hmmm id say it would look better to have the body match up with the front of the rail and have that match with the batterypack/triggerframe but its probably too late.. oh well :)

I agree with this too, it would be a sweet look to have it meet the body. Heck I'd prolly buy one..

You hit it on the head. I think it looks better with the "bumps" rather than wings. Just a side question, how inexpensive are we talking?

yeah, my friend was also annoyed by the fact that there are no left handed warp bodies yet, anyidea on when they will be availible?

09-25-2003, 07:52 PM
personally i like this one alot better then the other but the front of the rail still looks like crap i think... i just hate how it just stops. like the back tapers off i think you should do something on the front that will go better with the ule bodies. cuase it kinda looks like crap when the ule body goes past the body rail just my opinion though

I know with the old RT/Pro rail, the wings got in the way on my Pro Connect. Are the wings on this rail small enough to not have that problem?

angels one
09-25-2003, 08:46 PM
I agree with everyone about the front it just doesnt flow with the body. It reminds you that the rail is an add-on. It doesnt really match the nice lines of the ULE body.

angels one
09-25-2003, 09:10 PM
A little photochopped

xatle
09-26-2003, 09:05 AM
the length of the rail needs to match the shorter classic bodies, since it will replace the stock rail.

just wondering why it wouldn't?

LJT

I really like what you did with the rail Angels One. The curved front is better though I hope it does not interfer with foregrips or verticle adapters. One question: were you trying to smooth the new "bumps" proposed by AGD? I can't tell in the image if the blur around that area was intentional.

angels one
09-26-2003, 05:20 PM
LJT I photochopped it really quickly just as an idea. Im not a big fan of any wing, it just doesnt flow with rest of gun. Where else do you see wings or something close to looking like wings on rest of marker.

The body that angels 1 modded would be longer since that warp ule has the emag tapered end, which sticks out further than a classic body.

crazy just crazy....i want one....or five same thing...

It's just so nice to see the rail get the attention it has been lacking in the past. I must say I really appreciate the way the swoop in the body allows for the warp ules and still will look great with a vertical body on there.

PS I agree with the boys on the fact that it would look nicer withe the front coming up to match the body.

bout time a new rail came out...but im still hooked on that its a digital LEFTY WARP BODY WOOT!!!

GoatBoy
09-27-2003, 09:33 PM
Wow. Seems everybody likes the new rail.

Except me.

It's kind of funny to see that people didn't like the 'wings' on the other rails, even though they served a functional (albeit limited) purpose.

So when a new rail comes up, what does everyone ask for?

Wings!

I wouldn't mind one that was as light as possible, that just matched up to the body so things might be easier to clean. Every time I see a protrusion, I just see it as an obstacle to cleaning, if not an obstruction for other things, like in the previous case, the warp feed, or SS/macro lines, etc. Or my thumb/first finger.

I've been looking at my RF-milled standard rail, and if you think about it, it almost turns it into kind of an exoskeleton. I wonder what an endoskeleton-styled rail would look like...

I love the way the rail has both curves and edges. Kinda like cars. First real boxy, then real round, now it seems they have a combination of both. I love it!
