The Chicago Cubs are currently in first place in their division, a full game ahead of the Houston Astros. This hasn't happened this late in the season since 1989 (the last time the cubs won the pennant :D ). Hopefully the Cubs can win tonight (they're ahead by a run right now), and if the Astros lose that'd be even more amazing, so the Cubbies would be TWO full games up!!

The cubs were always my grandfather's favorite team, since before I can remember. I hold a special place in my heart for the cubs. He used to take me out to the games whenever I visitied him, in NORTH DAKOTA! He passed some years ago, but I know he would have loved to see the Cubs doing so well.

even if they did make the playoffs, theres no way theyre winning the pennant. they cant get past the gigantes.

Although... muahahaha... THEY JUST CLINCHED THE DIVISION!! CUBS ARE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS, BY WAY OF WINNING THEIR DIVISION, FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1989!!!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :cool: :D
