i need to get the detent thing out of my rail so i can slap my ULE on....how do i get it out?

A BFH :) Id lend you my sledge but my friend broke it beating a pipe out of a fire hydrent.
Anyways i'm prett damn sure its just pressed in there, and it takes some force to get out out. Hammer, vice whatever you want just be carfull not to bend the rail.

Turn the rail upside down. (works best when placed on something that will allow the twist lock to fall out)

Whack the assembly.

Done.

Use atleast a 15lb sledge.

Don't even NEED something that heavy.

A regular hammer will do the trick.

Yes the 15lb sledge hammer was a joke, which most people can hopefully figure out.
That is unless people are getting progressivly dumber :)
