Don't hate me that I'm posting a Matrix question on this board (i own a Micro E-mag and Classic RT anyways), but people on this board are the coolest anywhere. So take it as a compliment. Anyway, onto question...

I'm looking at getting this Matrix:

"black led matrix with image mod lpr, modified top hat mod gets u another 200 shots, 14" oldschool aa barrel, angel lcd grips. this thing shoots pimp."

Just wondering what kind of upgrades I should get first. List what you think I should I should get if I can only spend like $150-200 to start off with. This would help a lot! Mag's are still the best(dont need to spend $200 to upgrade, they rip outa the box!)

Low rise feed tube and a Halo.

Spend the rest on paint and let 'er rip!

eh, basically my mantra on this subject is.....if it works like you want it to. Why change it? If it's getting you enough shots per fill, and isn't chopping paint, then why spend money on mods you don't need?

CP reg, PBC reg or trinity, lowrise (ccm is best but u have other options i think)

and if you REALLY wanna go for a nice setup get a eye put in, but that seems down the road for u, go with what you want/can afford

also, how much are you paying for this? It's a slightly modded slide-switch, so it shouldnt cost all that much....makin sure you're not gettin hosed

If you didn't already buy this. I wouldn't even bother. This thing is so old upgrading it to be as nice as a modern day trix would be a huge pain.

But if you already did, get a pbc lpr, send it into generationE and have them swap out lpr's, get an Image bolt kit, VA, bob long torpedo, and you should be set. The other things you can do involve a different type of rise, barrel, back plate, board, trigger ect...

What the hell is that KAPP LPR doing on there? No way you can get away with only spending $200 to make it perform the best. If it doesn't have a bolt kit, buy one. No-rises and whatnot are more of a comfort thing than performance, I think.

Here's what I think would be the ultimate matrix setup, performance-wise (keep in mind I haven't been "in the loop" for a month or so):
-bolt kit
-FF bolt
-leethal mod
-oracle bolt stop (or equivalent)
-AKA sodacan
-AKA Sidewinder (even if you have an adj. tank, it's probably the best reg available for LP markers)

I think that's it...

At the moment the evolve bolt kit is almost unquestioned as the best, boasting numbers in the high 1000's near 2000's in shots per 68/4500 fill. IIRC Evolve is selling them on their site for 135.

for upgrades wait for compulsive to get their new stock of evolve bolt kits(2000 shots off a 68/45 fill) cuz they are coming down in price to the 130/140 area to compete wiht arrdy's new slam valve. also get a ccm claming no rise nad ur set

That thing is ooooold. Beehive reg and still using the leftside airchamber. Better off getting the stock LED and pumping it up from there.

Stock LED =$640
Evolve =$165 (just using current price)
LPR (Mini Trin)=$ 52
Eggi eye/board =$250
C4 mod =$ 56
AKA Sidewinder =$ 95
$1258

That's about as good as it gets right there. Build it up slowly if money is an issue, but the Eggi eye is a limited production of 70 boards and eyes that they will ship right after cup, so that whould be priority 1.
