Yeah, this was done like a year ago...personally, any music that gets me pumped. Old RHCP, Rob Zombie, Ministry, all my old harcore stuff from the 90's, Hatebreed (from like 8 years ago, Jaimie went WAY too mainstream), any type of, as a friend once stated about my choice in music, "angry white boy music".

First off, NOT punk. At least not that crappy pansy dribble you hear on the radio nowadays (wow, that makes me sound older then I am!!) REAL punk music is the Sex Pistols, The Kinks, ect...

But one of my favorite pb pump up music is Hed PE. Play the right tune (like Hey Bartender, or Killing Time)

Anything AFI did prior to Sing the Sorrow was awesome, but I have to agree on the new CD sucking royally. They had to throw it all away to become a teeny bopper trend, so sad.:(

Sevendust, Static-x, Korn, Rammstein, Trapt, The Revolution Smile, Siether, GodSmack, Disturbed, Adema, Stained, Smile Empty Soul.

Pretty much any good rock music. Rap on the other hand is out of the question, I dont see how anyone could listen to that crap, but if thats your thing go for it.

Dude, it does suck, for several reasons:

-Way too many studio effects.
-No more AFI "whoas".
-Lacks energy (way too depressing).
-Davey's singing sounds forced and awkward, and I can't help but think it was to make it radio friendly.
-Techno interlude in Death of Seasons, just...... No.

Different was Black Sails in the Sunset. It broke away from tried and true hardcore while at the same time creating something no one had seen before. This is different because it has to be marketable to 13 year old girls, it's different because Dreamworks needs it to be.

There really isn't anything spectacular about it, the only reason it created such a buzz is because this is the first time AFI has released a CD on a large record label in their 12 year history. They also did a good job of brutally stabbing their integrity to death.
