E-Amigos Takes 1st in Houghton(MTU) Tournament!

Well After a fantastic day of paintball, at the local baseball field the E-Amigos came though with first place. We took home some cash and warp feeds!

We used MTU?s brand spakin new PMI 25 piece field, which by the way rocks!

We had a few special guests, Chris Raehl(NCPA) and Scooter of AGD Pride so up for the event.

Unfortunately, I was so busy playing I didn?t get any picture, other than the one posted here.

If someone can post places for everyone else, I don?t remember who ended up where.

We got lucky and finally had a nice day in Houghton. Thanks TK for the Warps and Hats. Taking 2nd was sweet cuz i was looking into picking up an AGD hat anyways.

From the Pic you can tell just how much of our club has converted.

Thanks for everyone that showed up to play. Had great weather and great competition. Special thanks to AGD for helping us out with prizes including warps and sweet caps. Plan on playing again in the spring with the guy with the red Impy and warp in the winners circle.

I'd like to thank AGD for providing warps and hats for the tourny. Without you guys this tourny would not have been as successful. I also want to thank everyone involved, the refs for doing a stellar job and all the teams. It was a great day of paintball.

My team came in second in the novice division (out of two teams) I'd like to thank my team as well for being great sports even though it wasn't quite our day.

MTU paintball rules!!!

Big thanks to Tech for putting on the 3-man event this Saturday and convincing me to come up and play, it was a blast. Special thinnks go out to Tom Kaye and AGD for helping provide a rich prize package (warps and cash through third in a 6-team division = rock!) even if my team missed the payout by *ONE FREAKING POINT!*. Gah. I did, however, accomplish my main mission, which was to shoot out my cousin.

Weather rocked, field was awesome - new airball field set up on the outfield of a baseball diamond. Grass, yum. The Diablo shot great all day as well, as did the trusty E-mag.

I've never seen a tournament so Mag dominated. more than half of the guns had AGD serial numbers.

Also thanks to my impromptu teammates for making it a fun, low-pressure day.

The tournament was freakin' sweet! It was great playing in 80-degree, sunny weather, with good competition and an awesome field setup. Thanks AGD and National for hooking us up! And thanks to the MTU Paintball Club for making my first tournament such an awesome experience. Hopefully Scooter/Cootie will post some of the pics he took of the action during the tournament.

The weekend was a blast and I'm really glad I made the trip up. Thank you to Chris and Jessie for allowing me to play on their team. ;) And a big thanks to Skirts and the MTU paintball club for putting on the event.

I took four in the first game from 15 feet, ya' didn't see me rolling around on the ground. ;)

I got way lucky though, as I had forgotten to put my cup in and one of the hits even has this nice scab in the middle. One more inch to the left and... yeow!

Chris,

You should have remembered I had the warp...I can quickly come out of the left side of the bunker too :D

PS- I never knew I could look so pretty in the bling bling picture

Which side of the bunker you could come out was the least of my problems - I played that out totally wrong, once I had the pull I shouldda just let you cower on my side of the field and hung the flag on your side instead of coming out into the open to bunker you. I fully deserved the 4 shots to the thigh for my stupidity. ;)

Quick story behind that one...
(Sorry Messy, you probably don't even know about the first part)

I offered anyone $1 to shoot messy after the last game of the day while he was walking off the field. Hills easily accepted and waited for the right moment. When messy figured out who it was, he tore off after the culprit (dropping his gun to the ground). If you've never seen a big man run full force, it is a funny sight. Anyway, Hills made a cut and Messy (the train) attempted said cut and "derailed". Hills then came back and tackled him...

I was completely screened from the guy in the back left standup, so I was able to crawl up to the next bunker without him seeing me....jerk. ;)
