View Full Version : Bug in 3.0 Software Please Read
AO ACE users,
We have found a bug in the 3.0 software that appears to be present in 2.4 also. The ACE eye adjustment does not get sensitive enough to detect the ball properly. This is NOT a problem with the ACE board but is an internal configuration in the chip. Somehow the chip setup got flipped in a past version.
This DOES NOT affect performance if you turn off the ACE. It ONLY affects the ablity of the ACE to detect the ball at some distance from the eye. The current effect is that the ACE has a short detection range, if your ACE is working well don't sweat it. We will be coming out with a new version 3.2 hopefully in the next day or so.

so with 3.0 and ACE off, what is the board capped at?
20bps, and it seems 20bps with ace on as well

My friend has an Xmag and just got 3.0. I like the software and all, but what happened to the feature where if ace sees no ball then it automatically spins the warp until one gets into the breech? Also, I thought the screen would have a light that blinked when the trigger was pulled for setting the HES? I didn't see that either. Last, what setting should shot buffering be on? there is like 1-100.

it is adjustable from 4-100 in increments of 2 I think. Also the versions we got were the ones without the trigger test programmed in yet. Also since the ace cant function at all properly if you actually read the thread you just posted on there is no way you could know if that works that way or not. Of course I am not sure about this "warp" feature anyway :)

No...4 is the lowest setting. On most guns you'll get bounce at that point. So you should increase the SHBF setting up until you get no more bounce. To quote Furby, "Never ever cheat."
On my gun, I'm up around 58 if I remember right.

yes, but how can you truely test for bounce? it is more of a feeling when you are ripping on it, then stop. if it fires when your not you have bounce.
Is there something i am missing about bounce?

Guess it depends on your definition of bounce. To me, the simplest definition is 'more than one shot per pull'.
Don't know about other guns, but with 3.x, just slowly pull the trigger back and if you get multiple shots per pull, increase the SHBF setting until you don't.

I played the 5 man div at world cup this past Sunday-Tues, and I had the 3.0 version installed in my e-mag Monday. I come home and see this thread. One question, will this effect my gun in any way? I do know that the ACE software can not be used in my gun. I had it installed to help rule out the trigger bounce that seems to be a problem with some e-mags. My e-mag never had trigger bounce.

After a minor adjustment,my ACE seems to be working fine after 3.0.

I attempted to use ACE with 3.0 and it would just reset the board with ace back to 0

gotta be something wrong with my ace board, i'll just have them look at it at agd when i go back down there sometime. I dont use ace that much but would like to.

I had 3.0 done last week and if I hadn't run into Duelist today I wouldn't have even known they had 3.2 yet.Funny,walking around with a Xmag is like having a business card taped to your forehead.;)

I got 3.2 today too. For some reason with ACE off, I was getting chops...I'm also running a HALO B.

Hi, I saw you and your SFL there today.I had a Blk2Silver fade Xmag getting flashed as well.
Anyway,no L10? Maybe 3.2 is just that fast.:D

Ohh hi. I never noticed who exactly was the owner of that X-Mag--I was too busy looking at that one and the one on the rack.
Of course I have Level10 =)
My friend that was with my mainly used the SFL Emag for the day because I was playing with my Shocktech Timmy...maybe he's just unlucky.

Cool,I was toying around with it some last night.'Course it's basically the same as 3.0 but that trigger mode is a lot more usefull than I thought.It took like 3 mins to re-tweak the trigger to exactly what I was looking for.Now I
have the perfect Emode,Manual AND the sweetest full auto hybrid mode made specially for the E-spyder kids who think they "should" be allowed to play full auto,or at least until they see a Mag on full auto ripping 20-30 balls a second back at them.;)
Oh yeah,as for the bug,my ACE was working OK with 3.0 but with 3.2 it really does have way more adjustment and more ability to fine tune it.It kinda a shame that L10 came out first,I don't think people realise how good that ACE system really is.

Well my sfl, the ACE really really helps because with just lvl10 I will get a chop here and there due to some problems with my breech. But yeah the ACE system is great :)
