Just what the title says, can someone help me find out what the first semi-auto paintball marker was.

Hrm.. Not sure.. Possibly tippmann?

Tippmann came out with the first full-auto:) ... I think.

I believe it was Palmer, followed shortly by Tippmann.

IIRC, I believe Tom said hes not sure if it was us(AGD) or Palmer. Someone at the tech conference this year, can prolly back me up. That where that same question was brought up. Correct me if I'm wrong though. I don't want any false info out there.;)

I do believe you are correct. I think I recall that.

The first gravity fed semi-auto was Glenn Palmer's Camille. She is no longer with us:(

The first non-pump gun would be the SMG-60, but that was not gravity fed, nor was it semi auto:) The SMG-68 was Semi-auto, but still not gravity fed. The 68 Special was semi auto and grvity fed, but not out until 89 or so. I am not real sure when AGD built the Panther, but my guess was some time around 88 or 89, so it was probably up there also.

yep, stolen. and on the back of all the palmers flyers, there is a little note that says something to the extent of you bring the gun back, you'll get 1500 or 2000 dollars no questions asked.

Actually...that's not too funny. This is a piece of true Paintball history that will never be seen again.

Yeah - who ever stole Camile really has it out for palmer. I just pray that they are keeping it safe - just denying Glenn - and havent destroyed it...

I know a guy who had a mint Lapco gun that some punks stole then threw out of thier truck doing 50mph.

So sad....

Oh i know I would not do that :)

My guess si that it's prolly really broken and that the body is all rusted in a trash heap now.
He should make a re-creation of it, just to reprosent what it was like.
