im gonna buy my buddies 68/4500. im just making sure the "rated 3000 psi" on one side of my 68classic valve doesnt mean nay thing. or in other words- this tank will work on my gun right?

yea itll work.

im not sure, but i think that means that the actual valve assembly will withstand 3000psi. most tanks wont have an output of more than 850, unless its adjustable.

Your tank has a reg on it which only puts out about 1200psi at most if you have an ajustable, so you are safe. By the time the pressure hits the reg in the mag, its down well below 3000psi. On very very rare occasion the tank reg fails, and will output 3000psi. If you have macro or micorline it will probably just break, if you have SS it might take it. If you have 3000 or less in the tank your fine (although the hose isn't rated for this and I would suggest you immidiatly take your tank off and not use it again untill its repaired), if you have 3000psi+ there is a burst disk in the valve which will vent, the valve must then be sent into agd for repair.

I am upgrading to the x-valve for my classic mag what nitro system should I get and what type of regulator as well?

You don't want another regulater, that is bad. There is one built into your valve, a damn good one at that. As for a nitro system its pretty much whatever you want, the flatline is a pretty good tank, but there are a bunch of other good ones out there too.
