Why don't we just suggest something more esoteric like Mutt?
If you are looking for a WINDOWS replacement you have a couple of mainstream options.
Eudora
Pegasus
Mozilla/Netscape's built-in mail program
Hope that helps.

Eudora
Pegasus
Both good options. I havn't used either since about '95, but they were great then, so I would assume they havn't gotten worse.

I use Netscape 7 as my browser. Including the mail program. Have since '96. :)

I was going to suggest mutt. :) mutt rules. Used with procmail it's a life saver for mutiple mailing lists and incoming email addresses. folder-hooks allow me to specify the behavior of the settings on each folder. It also keeps my vi skills honed.

I always used Eudora but recently since I got this G5 I have been using Entourage since it was on hereor at least came with the MS Office I bought. Have not bothered to download Eudora as this seems to be doing a fine job for me at the moment.
