as far as the gun itself concerned, it doesnt matter whether the tank is rated to 3000 psi or 4500 psi. this number only shows what pressure the bottle and reg can handle. as a general rule, with a 3000 psi tank, multiply the size of your bottle(in cubic inches) by ten to see how many shots you will get off a good fill. multiply by 15 for a 4500 psi bottle and fill. however, you should look at the output pressure of your tank. as a rule, on an xvalved mag, the higher the input pressure, the more reactive the gun will be. the minimum input pressure you will want to run to your mag is 800 psi. most screw-in tanks are preset to 800 or 850 psi output. these will work fine on your gun. another option are high end, adjustable tanks. these tanks have an adlustable outpuyt. that is, you can adjust what pressure the gun puts out.
