Hello All,
I recently was tinkering with my EMAG. I was trying to get LVL 10 to its maximum softness. I went down from a 1.0 carrier to a zero carrier and after some adjustment to the o-ring(light stretching)I was able to operate my emag with a zero carrier and the largest spring and not have any bolt stick. I proceeded to fire the gun a lot. I noticed two things. One: My trigger was much more reactive, making me shoot faster. And two: The gun seemed like it would never run out of air at 2000 psi. I got more shots out of my tank than I ever had. I wasn't able to chrono it but the pop from the gun sounded like a standard burst at a normal speed.

Any insight???

hmmm
with the longer spring you mag should have be LESS effecient since it uses more pressure to push the bolt forward. (if i remember correctly that is)

I was under the same impression too. The larger the spring, the more your efficiency suffers

doesn't higher pressure require lower volume???

I have the longest spring in my RT classic... my efficiency jumps by +1/-1. Consistancy wise, I get about 400-500 shots to every 500psi with my 72/4500. Every valve is slightly different?

are you sure?

i get about 800-900 shots with a full 68-45 fill..

hmm i only get about 1200-1400 shots out of a 68/45

thats like 3500-4500 shots a tank

whatever you did you should patent it now

Right, but you can't adjust the volume on an emag... it is pretty much set. So when you have to raise the pressure to overcome the extremly tight carrier and really long mainspring, all that extra engery is wasted in friction... Leading to worse effeciency.

Sorry, was typing in one of my slightly incoherant stages, usually about 500 per 1000-1250. Get almost a case off of my 72/4500... below 800 psi, the mag sputters alot and i dont even try shooting it because it lobs paint.

makes sense.thank you.

I've noticed since I've gone flatline that my efficency has gone upwards. With my 45/45 flatline I get around 900+ shoots.

On a side note: Got your emag battery working again eh Bonx? What was up with it?
