i have classic valve w/ LX running on a 48ci 3k tank. i get 400 shots per fill! im gonna get an xvalve, and i was wondering if the eficiency would go up or down with the tank im using. basically im asking if the xvalve is more or less efficient than the classic.

oh yea, how many shots would an xvalve get of a 45/45?

... The x-valve is the same as the classic.. It's just almuminum.. So I don't think it will be any more effiecient

Someone posted a that you could take the size of your tank (in cubic inches) and multiply it by 10 to figure out approximately how many shots you'd get out of a 3000 psi tank. You multiply by 15 for a 4500 tank. Seems to work for me as I got about 700 shots from my 68" 3000 tank and I get about 1000 from my 68" 4500 tank (depending on output pressure). So if that's right, you'd get about 675 shots from a 45" 4500 tank.

Hope that helps.

i hope you didnt mean in performance.....

xvalves are reactive trigger valves and i think they get a little better efficiancy

The Classic / RT / Xvalves all get the same efficiency given the same set up.

Differnace being the Reactive Trigger in the RT and XValves and the gas routing. The AC volume is teh same between all the valves.

But, are we comparing all Level 10 equipped guns? B/c we know that a non-LX gun is more efficient than a LX equipped. Just the way the system works.

yes the classic and a xvalve will have the same shot per tank because the air chamber is the same size. or i think so.

Heh, you are very very wrong.
An xvalve comes stock with level 10 and uses the ReTro design.

Not if the classic has a level 7. Level 7 is more air efficient than the Level 10 by design.

mags are gas hogs. they are nice but they use ALOT! of air. i can get a whole case of paint and a little more outta 3 fills with my matrix and i dont even have a clue how much with my emag but its alot more fills than my matrix. and im using a 68/3000 right now cause my 68/4500 flatline is outta hydroe.

I recently traded off my 68/4500 for a 91/4500 because I was finding that I could only get about 450-550 shots out of my 68/4500 with a 3000 fill. It's too bad that mags arent more air efficient, I hate the fact that its tough to lay paint on people from the backfield when you are constantly worried about how much air you have left.
