I might be picking up a JT barrel kit for my ule body this weekend, and was just wondering if anyone has experience with them. The two stores closest to me only have the JT kit, and Pipes and Freaks (which I'm not interested in).

Thoughts? Opinions?

jt. nuff said. im sure they are ok barrels, but doesnt jt make masks? when did they become experts in barrels? i would recomend sticking with a company who has been doing barrels for years or has a good background in engineering and quality products. of the 3 you mentioned the pipe is the best. however i recomend a scepter kit. paintballistix.com has good prices on scepters.

That's like saying the Invision isn't up to par since Dye used to be known for barrels.

In my experience, the JT's have shot as well as any of my Dye barrels. Actually, Dye is now offering ultralite/boomstick/titanium backs and fronts for sale separately in .684, .688, and .692.

You could easily configure a kit with those 3 ultralite backs plus 1 tip of your choice for around 200 dollars.

PBGear.com also lets you do this: http://store.yahoo.com/actionvillage/paintball-barrels-dye-barrels.html

The new ultralites are available in black, blue, red, or chrome.

Well, I don't really want to deal with inserts, and in my opinion the pipe looks ugly on mags. I also am not really into ordering online, though I would if necessary.

I originally was having my store order in a CP kit, but they had problems getting it in (apparently CP doesn't like shipping to Canada/are rude:confused: ). They said I could check out the JT kit they had in store, so I just wanted to hear some opinions.

if you like CP barrels, you will like JT barrels. CP makes the JT barrel(s).

Just thought I would throw that out...

I have a scepter kit for my mag (that I love) and an evil pipe for my Angel (that I love), so I can honestly recommend either of those.

the JT barrel weather its a 1 piece or 2 piece. they are very nice looking and they are very accurate too with the right sized paint.

I'm getting rid of couple of JT barrels if you are intrested. 14" and 10" fronts and .688 and .690 SS backs.

I have a full set of JT 2 piece barrels. They are Stainless back and they are one of the best barrels that I have used. They are very accurate barrels.

Personally, I haven't had experience with JT kits. I am going to reccomend a JJ edge kit. For the low cost you get an excellent barrel. I will never use another kit again... I love this thing.. :D
