Well i did a search and didnt find anything, so are there any other swimmers here on AO? If so where are you from and what events do you swim? I'm a flyer/middle distance freestyler.

Peace,
J.J.

Edit: I do not shave my eyebrows, but i do shave pretty much everthing else...outside the speedo...

Used to. Swam for like 8 years.

Pretty much stuck to 50/100 freestyle and 100 fly.

Every once in awhile I'd do the 200 free or IM.

The only time I swam anything longer then that was when I pissed the coach off or he "just wanted a time". ;)

i took swimming lessons from when i was like 6 or 7 until i was 14. not really the swimming that you are talking about but it was kinda fun. i just like to hang out in the pool or pond or wherever you are swimming and just mess around.

I like to go swimmin' with bow-legged women, and swim between their legs... swim between their legs...

I swam back in HS... mostly 50 and 100 yard freestyle... sometimes fly or back in the medley relay... and was a regular on the 200 and 400yd free relays...

my best 50 time was around 24.3, best hundred was 52.5 or so...

how's that look these days? i was part of "the depth" of the team usually swimming the b or c relay team... we had guys going sub-21s off relay starts... enough to win the state championship...

I swam off and on for my entire life, up until freshman year of college. I always swam the 100 fly, 100 back, and 200 IM. My time in the fly was 57.50ish, and 59.00ish in the back, and 2:12.00ish in the 200 IM. Not super fast, but fast enough to be top 10 in the state in the fly and back.

I miss swimming, this is making me sad...

Well I couldn't hit much better then a 21 sec for 50 yd, and 46sec for 100 yd freestyle. 100 yd fly was about a 55. 100 breast and back sucked...like 1.15 and 57 or so.

Edit: Made states easily, but never won.

Fred-Ya that's about where you'd be placed on my team too, looks like things havent changed much.
Shooter-Wow, nice sprints, i'm impressed. Some of my times...1:59 200 fly, 53 100 fly, 1:48 200 free, i'm a junior and do alright, but i've been swimmin since i was 10 and pretty much hate it now, so we'll c what happens my last 2 years of h.s.

hehhehe thanks. 4 hours of training a day, 6 days a week, for years and years.

geez you are a flyer! Careful with your shoulders man! One of the main reasons I didn't swim in college was because my shoulders were so bad. :(

only 4 a day?

i remember 5 hours of pool time, plus an hour or so in the weightroom every weekday... add another hour of pooltime and 2 more on the weights on saturdays...

ah... nothing was better than 15 guys absolutely destroying the lunch buffet at Pizza Hut on a saturday after swimming 14000 yards... :D
