Ok, I think there was a thread like this a while back, but I cant find it.

Just curious as to what fields of labor are represented by AO'ers (whether you're part-time, full-time, or you have a carreer). What do you like best about your job?

I used to be a telemarketer (got a little tired of that...). Now I'm in Newspaper circulation. The cool thing about what I do now, is my office is my car. I got nobody lookin over my shoulder, and I can stop for breakfast whenever I want. Also, I get reimbursed for mileage (not taxable:D). On average, I'll drive about 100 miles in a day.

Well currently I guess I am a college student, though I plan on dropping out because I hate all the report writing and stuff like that.

At heart though I am a Farmer and Rancher... and always will be :D

I work with my dad and like Cryer we can stop anytime we want to and do whatever we want to, so it's awesome having all that freedom. Also the aspect of driving big equipment is always a blast, not to mention other perks like being outside, getting fresh air, and varmint hunting!!! :p

:D

I manage my fathers auto repair, parts, cars sale facility.

So - I sell cars, or claim to, god I can't manage to sell a car myself lately.

I work on vehicles - actually no, I oversee the work on vehicles, bill to customers, interact with customers, and schedule work.

I sell parts and make sales calls to other auto repair facilities to help them with issues and sell them more parts.

I handle payroll (when dad doesn't), and the other mound of paperwork involved in staying within DOT, EPA, Michigan Department of Enviromental Quality, federal and state tax laws, and a whole bunch of other stuff - you wouldnt beleive the amount of paperwork

I also rent and repair U-hauls in my spare time.

I'm supposed to be a senior IT guy for LVMPD. /me looks at his calendar... any day now.... :p In the time being I'm volunteering for the City of Henderson's IT Dept - Networking Div. to keep current. Been setting up Cisco switches and stuff, and putting them in around the city. Also working on my masters, and have been considering being a part-time college instructor... computer programming or networking possibly.

But at the moment, I am a professional bum... wish these guys would hurry up the process so I can start getting paid. :D

jeez Sooky, I worked a summer of the night shift package handler at FedEx Ground too. That job was indeed the worst imaginable, you have my sympathies.

Now I'm a graduated college student working on my conceptual design portfolio, doing freelance illustration, and working at Media Play so I'm a busy bee.

I remember when I used to make $6, and all of it was mine :(. Now I got credit cards, and a car, and insurance, and rent, and food, and more bills...

In fact, I would love to make $6/h again, as long as I could keep it.

Enjoy it while it lasts man :(
