Last night I got to play with my Viking. Good lord this thing is fast. Let a few guys shoot "fallout" (the guns name) and I think AKA will be selling a few more guns!

Anyways back on topic. With my current setup using the 72ci it made the Viking way to close for comfort. I found that when the setup was to "tight" that I would not shoulder my rig and my shots would end up significantly less accurate. I also find that it’s more difficult to walk when my wrist and elbow are bent to extreme angles caused by a "tight" setup.

So I got this conquest last night from a bud and noticed a few things versus my screw in. First let’s get some stats out of the way

Conquest
88ci 4.5k tank "SCUBA" style, long and skinny. The length from the rail, dovetail, mounting point to the end of the tank is about 13.25 inches in length 13” in circumference

Crossfire
72ci 4.5k tank "peanut" "fatboy", short and fat. Length of tank plus CP on/off is right at 12 inches and 14.75” in circumference.

So here are some pics.

Below: 72 on top 88 on bottom. The front is aligned according to their perspective rail mounting points.

I really like the longer tank which gives added stability. In other words all these folks selling the new 72ci's may find customers disappointed with how the gun is weighted. I am trying to switch the regs around and run my conquest on one of my mags with the 72ci and the crossfire on the scuba for the Viking.

Mini conclusion;
I hope I can get another 2inchs when switching regs for the Viking. I also think it is worth the extra 16ci for a gain of 1.25 inches in length; however I also loose 1.75” in circumference that I do not have to reach around.

Ill post more pics later with the regs switched, if I can get the dam tanks off!

how about this with your peanut tank, flip the drop around so the tank is farther away and angling up?

I don't know how good of an idea it would be to run the conquest on your mag if that's what you were trying to say you were gonna do. The conquests max output is right around 550psi or a bit less which is barely enough to operate a classic mag valve and you'll probably see some shootdown at higher rates of fire. Just something to think about.
