Does that deal seem too good to be true?

Um... yea. Try before you buy is all I can say...

Yeah I can't cause I might buy it over the internet from some guy in Indiana. It is 350 for just the gun with ULE body and no barrel or nothing.

maybe if he has TONS of feedback, but even then...are you sure its not just with an Emag valve?

Got my old one brandnew for 200, but that was from my local field owner. If I were you i would be careful about this deal.

Use a 3rd party.

LuisV

Maybe $350 without the valve... but I would be very careful. Get pics... use PayPal if you can as you have insurance with them. Phone numbers and what ever else you can get...

Yeah it is the emag with and emag valve and a blue ULE body. He said he would do COD and everything works fine. He has only like 2 feedback but says every works fine. I want to buy this so bad but don't want to get ripped.

Make sure to do USPS COD, their the only service who lets you open the package before paying.

Do the COD and before you hand the money to the driver test it out real quick... :D

I've never had any shipping company let me open a COD.

You sure USPS COD lets you open the package and test drive it? ANd if it does not work I don't have to pay or what? Thanks for the info guys.

I'm sure if you explain the situation to the driver and tell him/her what it is they will be curious to see it. Once opened, and either way you decide, give them a tip... they'll appreciate it...

Yeah, slip the UPS guy a $5 or $10, and say it's his either way but you want to open the box before you pay :)

USPS will not let you open the package before you pay, or shouldnt. If they are, then they are violating their own rules. Use an escrow service www.escrow.com. You pay a bit of money, but you get a set inspection period, during which you can refuse it and get all your money, less shipping fees, refunded. I've used it for 2 purchases, works great, but takes a little time.

Use a 3rd party.

yeah the guy is not down with using thrid party, he either wanted to do MO or COD. I ws thikning even if the elctronics don't work I can always send it it right? And 350 would still be a good deal as a manual emag.

Offer to pay the 3rd party fees

Crimson_Turkey
11-23-2003, 11:47 PM
If you offer to pay and he still doesnt want to do it something is very wrong.

Halliday

blakdragon21, I've dealt with you before. If it will help, I'll be a 3rd Party for your deal. NO FEE. Just cover the shipping. I can make sure the E-Mag works.

Let me know, via PM's.

Yeah I wanted to do third party and pay the fees but he said he does not trust them cause he got ripped before. Should I just trust him to do COD?

And thanks for the offer Halliday, will keep that in mind.

Don't buy it, sounds WAYY to fishy. If you've recomended an established Airsmith such as Palmers and he's refused tell him to go home.

I dont mean to rain on your parade, but a few of the other replies are right, this deal does seem to good to be true. Even if the gun is in working order there is a good chance it might even be stolen. I got my EMag used w/ only 1297 shots on it for only $650 and I consider that a good deal. So research this sale HEAVILY foryour omn sake.

I have to second that. If he wouldn't trust someone like Palmer, why should you trust him?

Do COD and pay with a PERSONAL CHECK.

If he sends you a box of bricks you can always cancel the check for 25 bucks.

Good luck bro, your intelli is in the mail by the way ;)

Not to lead you into a trap but personally at times I've been reclunctant to do 3rd party. Even when I sold my Xmag and Nasty which were both flawless I rejected a few offers which REQUIRED 3rd party transactions. Purely on the grounds I knew I could get what I wanted for my guns and quickly without the turnover time of 3rd party, and I did.

I've only 3rd partied once, and it took soooooo long... and the gun I got was a POS anyways, I was very unhappy!

I try and just do straight trades w/o a 3rd party from trusted and respected members of the AO community (or PBN community). My shop hosts 3rd party trades, but unlike some places (*looks at canadianpaintball.com, damn Canadians*) we check over both parties guns for quality before we continue to ship to the new owners.
