Just a quick question... and I trust you guys, mods please be honest here!!

My friend/teammate is having a MAJOR computer problem (like, probably a hacker), and was curious as to whether mods have access to members' passwords. HE IS JUST CURIOUS!! He doesn't suspect you guys of foul play or anything... just trying to rule out as many possiblilites as, well, possible.

As always, thanks for the quick response. :)

I have no access to any member's passwords.

If the passwords are encrypted like how they should be... nobody knows what the password is. The administrators can only change them, typically.

With V-Bulliten an admin could theoreticaly post as a user on the board. Its not that difficult. The mods may have access to certian user tools ... but thats all in how the settings are. The control pannel logon is entirely different than the board login so I doubt anyone has been taught how to get in there... and of course I am certianly not telling... lol.

So the answer is can it be done.. yes... however its HIGHLY unlikely.

I know on my forums, I can only change passwords, not view. I'm pretty sure it's the same for most forums.
