Ok, so are the ReTro Valve and X-Valve the same thing and it's just that the X-Valve has a lvl 10 on it and is lighter? Because I want to get an X-Valve but if it is just the same thing as the RT valve I will just get a lvl 10 cuz the weight isnt really an issue to me right now.

Yeah, basically the same except older Retro's can't put the ULT kit in w/ out some modification. On a side note if you do decide to upgrade to the X and were planning on trading the Retro in PM me;)

yes you can, on some old ones you cant, but look in the bottom of the whole where the on/off goes, if theres 2 orings, it can (most newer ones are 2 oringed) if not, you can have it milled out by someone on AO so it does

This brings up another question I may run into. Say I have a classic valve and a hyperframe (I think it's a classic valve...it's not here yet). At some point in time, if I want to upgrade to the RT valve, are there any snags involved?

You need HPA...

Got HPA. To clarify, my question is whether there are any snags or adjustments to be made when upgrading to an RT valve when the hyperframe is already installed on the mag.

Just the on/off pin/assembly.

Take the valve out of the gun. Look for the brass piece underneath. Take that out. (Your on/off pin is in there as well. DO NOT lose it.)

Look inside the hole in the valve. If you see 1 white oring, you can't use the ULT.

If you see a white and a black oring, you can.
