AO Chess Tourny - Sign Up!

[Miscue]

The thread on chess strategy got me thinking, I thought it would be cool to have an AO Chess tourny... if anyone is interested.

I'm thinking we could do a Round-Robin style tourny, where everyone plays each other and is ranked by final scores. 1 point = win. 0.5 points = draw. 0 points = loss.

I don't know about time controls... maybe 5-15 minutes would work out, whatever you guys want.

The issue on cheating: No computer assistance whatsoever... you have to play on your own. I can usually tell the difference between a computer and a human player... I will be monitoring and will forfeit all of your games if you are not playing fairly.

If you know how to at least move the pieces, sign up!

With a Round Robin, you can play whoever... finding an opponent won't be an issue until you start getting down to a few people left. You can kinda do it at your own pace... to an extent.

If someone doesn't show, then they forfeit... I'll specify more rules and details later...

I was thinking of using Playsite or Yahoo Chess, unless there are other suggestions.

Ok, I think we'll be using Yahoo Chess... so make sure you have an account.

Additional players can easily be added... but we can start.

Here's the first round:

well, unfortunately im behind a pretty nasty firewall, and i cant seem to log onto ao chat or the yahoo games rooms, so i guess im out cause i cant play. :(

1 game... yeah. Well, I was going to try to even out the colors but that is going to be difficult since it seems like whoever shows up just plays whoever... as long as it hasn't been done yet. I figure, who ever gets into the room first can pick a color.

Hehe, well I just lost 14 times in a row... beat the dude like 3 times outta 40... I'm alright, but nothing special... an expert can easily kill me. They just have so many lines memorized that they don't even have to think.
