People will never learn. Though you know I was thinking. If I would have bought every barrel that was total hype and never really made it off the ground, I would have a pretty extensive and rare barrel collection. I am almost tempted to buy one just to start this collection. In 5 years I can pull it out and say, does anyone remember these?:)

It's got that suppressor-looking front end that may go over well with scenerio players, but not at that price!

Well if they find a customer base that is dumb enough to buy into it...then more power to them.

Well,

There used to be an automag barel that had a big silencer end. Don't know if you can still get it though.

Porting in a barrel is stupid anyways. All it does is reduce the effective length of the barrel and make the marker quieter.

Now iy you have a muffler on the end you could regain some of the lost effective length AND be quiet. but, many tournament rules seem to forbid silencers even if they are built-in to the barrel.

man I remember back in the day when being quite was the only way to win in paintball, there was no such thing as a fast game....but i digress

Its kinda stupid looking with the smoke coming out the muffler, well somebody will buy one

can you say "curveball?" As an Armson user, I can atest that the rifling (when properly produced) dosen't curveball.

Frankly, the product looks nice. I don't buy the hype, but it does have style. ;) The chrome one looks like it would start fires on a sunny day. :D

teh camo does look decent though for anno, but dual rifling and just not smooth boring out the barrel are not the same thing, it looks liek he was to lazy to smooth it out so he just drilled it and said hey im gonna patent this!

Agreed, on both counts.

I agree to a point. It depends on the REASON a person buys one. If it is only for looks and they are comfortable with the price…. I agree, all power to them.

… or those who want it for the looks only. Ask Tom Kaye about “looks” and prices. ;) He made a good post about that not long ago if I remember correctly.

I agree. If for the right application, I think it looks darn nice. But it is NOT for tournaments… Recball or Scenarios only. Heck for scenario play I would even consider one, but not at that price.

I would like to see a review on efficiency and overall accuracy. I think the “duel rifling” is more than a bit overboard, and it could have went strictly smooth bore and been as good if not better….. but I don’t see it as causing any harm. We are, after all, just talking about paintballs.

But the green anno looks nice. Maybe he can do my gun :D

how can a rifled barrel work well with unrifled balls?
these areb't bullets we're shooting :o

i've actually seen cases where the spiral porting made balls curve madly because of when the air gets released through the porting...

looks nice? style? there is nothing about this thing that says style, or looks nice. i've seen *****es that have more style than this piece of schite!

Style and looks are relative to the observer. While I don't particularly like the aesthetic look of the barrel (at least I wouldn't want one on my mag...), it does appear to be a pretty smooth, well finished product.

For $150 I want the barrel to hop off the gun, deliver the ball to my opponent, hit the other guy, and laugh at him for me before returning.

But that's me.

Maybe the barrel could swipe the victim's wallet while it's over there...:)
