Quick Computer Help!!!

For some reason i cant get my computer to open new windows

ok, 2 examples

if i right click on a link and select open in new window, i get nothing


if i click on a link here at AO say for example a link to some game, or a link to a picture on another forum nothing happens


whats the deal?

I'm thinking cookies are off or you have a popup blocker.

if you right click and open in a new window it is not a pop up blocker. i do this all the time and have 3 blockers running. i do not know about the cookies issue either.

Just to be insane sure, you have patched windows recently havent you? This started happening to me when the last virus came out, slammer or something like that. I could not open new windows, copy or paste, or use outlook express right. That is a worse case scenario, I am %99 sure this is not what it is, but just a suggestion.

come to think of it the forums have been doing this to me lately also. sometimes the forum does not respond to anything I do, opening links in a new window or just surfing around. i can usually close explorer, and open a fresh new explorer and everything works fine. might try that also.
