New Zealand to be the location of Narnia for the upcoming movies ....

For those fans of C.S. Lewis and The Chronicles of Narnia it has been confirmed that New Zealend will play home to the land of Narnia for at least five movies.

Filiming begins next year one the first movie "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe ... with Weta digital doing the CGI work ...

Narnia sucked. Had to read them in school and hated them all. Now if they made a movie of the LOTR trilogy that would kick so much butt...oh wait...they already did:D

The Chronicles of Narnia are kids books... much more so than the Lord of the Rings were meant to be. And their parallels to Christianity are much more blatant.

Oops... swinging this train of thought back to movies...

There were movies made of a bunch of them back in the early 90s, which weren't bad... but I think an updated version could be pretty sweet.

The stories are not nearly as complex as LOTR and without leaving much out they'd still all be way shorter than 3 hours...

I loved them, but why teh hell aren't they makin The Magician's Nephew first? :mad:
