I am looking to take a CCNA class and i was wondering if anyone knew what specifically I should look for in the program?

I don't have my CCNA, but could get it at any time, just need to brush up on my IPX/SPX.

Look for: actual hardware, preferrably 29xx switches and 36xx routers, in a lab. Also a decent concentration on IP and real routing protocols like BGP or ISIS, rather than RIP.These will be more usefull in the long run. for passing the test, make sure they have a Novell environment too, IPX/SPX is a weakness for most folks these days.

I took about half of the course at high school. I'd do it. It's very informative.

Fred,
I am currently taking a CCNA course at Ameritrain, and I have been VERY pleased. I have NEVER seen a Cisco router before I stepped into class, and I now feel VERY comfortable working with them. I'm fairly sure that AmeriTrain has an office in the NYC area. Just my 2¢.
