What is a good barrel for a mag? I will get a kit but I need to know a good cheap barrel to start with.

I'll second the CP barrel choice, with the SP teardrop and the J&J ceramic all being pretty good as well. I'll also add that I've had good luck with freak kits when you want to upgrade.

That's what I'm getting for my New ULE Body:D

Now all I need to decide is 1 piece or 2 red or nickel

cp one or two piece? I was thinking of getting a progressive but it's smart parts. But I might be forced into buying a freak for a kit and supporting evil(long complicated story), it all depends on if I get a ule body before a barrel kit. I might be able to get a cp two piece base kit with a 12in tip though. Right now I am just interested in a cheap one poece for a start.

The only gripe I have about the one piece is when you break a ball in the barrel, you HAVE to squeegee. There's no shooting through it, it just doesn't clear well.

Other than that...thumbs up!

I'm gonna get a cp one piece, and a cp two piece base kit or a freak(nooooooo) when I get a kit.
I might get a freak because if I get a ule before I get a kit can't buy all new bores.

The Stock one? Absolutely a good shooting barrel. Very efficent but a bit loud. Can shoot out a break real easy with them because they got no ports. But that also makes them very gas efficent. But plenty of them around cheap and they shoot as good as any other barrel out there with the right medium sized paint. Not a thing wrong with them at all. Find one and stick some plastic detentes in there and your good to go for cheap. Can pick em up all day long on the classifieds.

Good barrel. Not a thing wrong with it at all. If you get the one when you buy the RTP package deal you got a good set up. It's a .690 and it shoots very well.

Its like .689 or .690. Something about that. Always was Medium.

The only thing I don't like about the J&J that comes with the new RT-Pro is there is no step on the end of the barrel to put a barrel oring on. This means there is metal on metal contact between the body and barrel.

The cp one piece barels are stepped still. at the porting the barrel gets larger, just like if it were a 2 piece barrel
