View Full Version : Stock Timmy Trigger + Dremel = PIMP Custom Trigger

sneakyhacker420

during the past 3 weeks, i've taken my dremel, hand file, and sandpaper to my stock timmy trigger

first it came out with a rounded hump... then an intelliframe-like blade... and now its a home-made techna trigger Katana (but made out of aluminum)

right now i'm running it on 8m/s debounce and no spring - it absolutely RIPS

here it is (yeah, yeah, i know its scratched up a bit)

Dang, that had to take some time. Nice job. I'm still going to go with a rapier techna trigger for my 2k2. I like the hump for raking.

sneakyhacker420
12-28-2003, 01:02 AM
i like the humps for raking, but i find walking much more feasable in-game

and load... you dont wanna know what my field tech called you last week

I have some excessive pwing problems that Cphil might be able to take care of? Diddnt you just get your post count deleated? What, and you're already back to 110?

I like it alot.

On that note. The CP trigger for the Matrix is the next thing for my Ironman. Looks similar and is uber sexy.

That is very cool Sneaky. I tried that once w/ my EMag trigger and had to get a new one. I'm glad it worked for you and that it works well. I also noticed your # of posts was reset. How did that happen?

sneakyhacker420
12-28-2003, 09:35 PM
cphil reset my post count

and if you grind down the e-mag trigger too far, the threads for the magnet adjustment won't be able to grip it correctly

One of my teammates did that with his GZ and its crazy.

Why did Cphil do that you had quite the impressive number going? And about the EMag trigger yeah I know. What you described is what I did.

sneaky,
I want to say that it looks nice, but I have to wonder if you have too much free time on your hands. Just kidding. Good job though, by the way, how long did it take?

i never knew that my dremel work was so enjoyable :p

you shunned me for taking the dremel to my spyder... now you hug me for taking the dremel to my trigger :p

edit: sponge, you may wanna take a couple spaces out of your sig between the picture and the good traders

and its a bit big for sig guidelines too anyways :o

i like how it actually "pimps" unlike all of the other paintball products that promise to do so....

"pimp(en)(ed)(tastic)" is the worst way to describe anything that doesnt have a heart, two legs and a purple hat with a feather on it.

I did my stock viking trigger today at work.

It weighed 11 grams before, 4 after.

sneakyhacker420

too flat for my tastes

i really like triggers that have the inward cuve to them

afrankart
12-29-2003, 09:19 PM
being it was a blade trigger, there wasn't any curvature for me to work with in the first place.

sneakyhacker420,
Looks good. I know what you went through, since all Katanas start as a "blank" that is shaped kind of like the stock, or "Dragon" trigger. The hump is removed and the trigger further shaped to end up as a Katana. Rapiers, Sabers and Katanas are all made from the same blank.

afrankart,
Taking that trigger from 11 grams to 4 is very impressive. I am exploring some ideas on a modified Rapier in my Alias, to see how light I can go. It is below 2.5 grams at this point and should go well below 2 grams before I have to begin to worry about strength. I love/hate carbon fiber!

no offense but with all the guns you have im positive you or your parents would buy thats stuff in a heartbeat...

but back to the subject very nice reminds me of the angel trigger and i love that thing... i was going to do that to my intelli blade trigger make more of a curve and slicker design... also have a really short trigger pull instore if things work as planned who knows myabe ill show you at bfg someday

actually he buys all of his guns himself, or his parents do then he pays them back.

but still tell your mom then that your computer is broke and it needs firewire port for the harddrive or some crap like that... if my mom had money she would fall for it... and as for video editing software im sure you can find a nice free 1k program online some where;)

I did'nt realize you were a member here. I just ordered one of your rapier triggers last night for my Timmy. I loved the way Manike's felt too much.:D

i see that you used my suggestion to hop on over to AO :D

and yeah, its still got the thinner bottom half, but until i have the cash for one of your secksy techna triggers... this'll do

and i got rid of all but .25 MM of side-to-side wobble by greasing the trigger screw and the sides of the trigger where it contacts the frame and tightening it down as hard as possible as long as it could still move :)

Evil1

Are there any other triggers for the Emag besides the LT3 blade?

sneakyhacker420
12-31-2003, 03:14 PM
TL63 and customized stock ones... JKW from techna trigger will be making a roller-bearing carbon fiber trigger for the e-mags if there is enough interest in them
