Seems my matrix feedtube got so tight I couldn't get it off, it's because when I put my hopper on I twisted it and it tightened it alot. I tried putting something in between the feedtube and a wrench, but it left a little scratch. Any suggestions?

Strap Wrench. Every Paintballer needs a set.

About 5 bucks each. A set of two around 10 bucks.

Strap wrenches do NOTHING when the 'tards use red loctite on your feedneck...

Details here: http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=116455

I used a strap wrench and a blow torch trying to save the old feedneck. I said screw it and went for the channel locks. I wrapped the body with tape so I wouldn't scratch it. It wasn't actually red loctite, it was white as you can see on the threads.

Oh my! Now that is true I will admit but the originator I assume is not facing that kind of screw up... Who the heck did that glue? What a dufus!

Ah.. read your thread. Looks more like maybe even super glue doesn't it. I woulda thought the Red lock Tight would have released when you did the heat. You sure someone else didn't get hold of that thing and put superglue in it? Sheeesh what a mess. Good you got it out though.

Yeah, I've had this one off before so I'm positive that theres no loctite.

Good job re-stating what cphilip already said. I think you should just delete your post.

With love,

PS- I just bought that same feedtube.

I was just joking (which I'm sure you understood) but thats not a CCM, it's a Check it. You could go ahead and rub it in my face if I'm wrong.

if you don't want to damage the feedtube, i suggest using a thick piece of rubber and vice grips. Take the rubber and put it between the vice grips and the feedtube. Then set the vice grips to apply a hard grip on the tube and your in business.

Now that I think about it, stock matrix feedtubes aren't exactly tearing up the market today.. if worst comes to worsts (which isn't that bad) I'l just wrench it off.

It's a Check-It low rise.

The body really was in no danger, I just tried way to hard to save that stock neck using strap wrenches. Blah.. what do I need it for anyways? lol

When I changed my ULE neck with a rougeneck.. it came right off with a strap wrench and some hot water. There was actually red loctite on that, I have no idea what WDP used on my Speed..
