I just got this 68 in a pile of paintball stuff that I bought off a guy. I think I'd like to upgrade this and see how good a gun I can make it into.

So, if someone could tell me about this 68 and what I can do to push it up I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Bottomline, intelliframe, ULE body, ULT kit, nice barrel kit, roguerail...

Possibilities are endless.

That is an old school mag, it still has the hole for an ASA off of the rail, anyway there are many things availible to you like an x-valve, ule bidy, ule trigger, LX, Ule rail, INtellinframe or y frame or logics 90 frame. So basicly right now the ski is the limit for you.

well.. there lots of options..

First of all probably the best upgrade you can get in a LVL 10, or (if your using nitro) an Xvalve.

For looks.. new body, such as an ULE
Theres quite a few frames out there for mags.. so maybe an electro frame..

For tighter play.. a Warp Feed (many people do not like these, i have never tried them)

Theres tons of things you can do to mags.. go wild with it :)

Wow! I heard this was a good forum, but ya'll are wicked fast on the response!

I don't actually know what ANY of that stuff is that you listed, except for the Warp Feed, but I'm going to pass on that.

What do you mean by replace the body?

AGD makes an all aluminum body that comes cocker threaded, has angel detents and feed neck and comes in cool colors.

There's also the ULE Warp Bodies. Same aluminum, but instead of vert feed, they come out the sides of the body for a nice tight setup.

Also, the Xvalve is the aluminum version of the ReTro valve. It's a Nitro-Only valve, but is the fastest recharging valve in paintball. It has a reactive kick that resets the trigger VERY fast and is still tournament legal. It also comes with the level 10 kit, which makes chopped balls a thing of the past. You can also buy the kit seperately if you want. (You can trade your current valve in for a $100 credit towards the purchase of the Xvalve.)

The intelliframe is the AGD double trigger. With $4 of Radio Shack parts, it can be hooked up to your hopper or warp to spin the impeller after every shot.

http://store.airgun.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=17&Product_ID=11&CATID=5

There's also the Y-grip, it's a forward angled grip that can do everything the Intelliframe does, just a little more ergonomically.

The Ultra light trigger is a new innovation. It reduces the pull weight of a mechanical mag to 15oz. It really wants the Xvalve, but some people have gotten it to work with the Classic valve you have.

If that doesn't get you started, I don't know what will. :)

Oh, wait, I've been browsing the Airgun Designs website. I get it, now. :D

I guess what I need now is the best place to buy stuff without ending up dropping a grand on this little sucker!

Most websites such as action village and 888paintball will have pretty good prices but I would stick with www.airgun.com They will set you up

I'd suggest selling it and starting fresh. You'll probably end up with a new body, frame, rail and valve. So by the time you're done upgrading it, you'll end up with none of those pieces (expect a few screws and such) left on it.

Yeah, Wyn, after looking at prices for parts and upgrades and then looking at prices for a new Mag, I'll probably end up selling it and getting a new marker. I'll play around with it for a while first, though. :)

If you decide to get a new rail, I'll be happy to take that old one off your hands. I have the old ASA that fits the rail and I want to build a "classic" mag.

Thanks!

Wow! With the kind of energy on this board, I suspect I may not want to part with this thing after I've played with it some. :D
I'll let ya'll know next week how it goes.

how big is your budget..i would start with:

Nitro (crossfire preset would work fine)
Xvalve( i am saving for, i wish i bought it first)
Ule body
Gripframe (InteliFrame, Yframe, or Spaceframe from www.logicpaintball.com)
RogueRail, Rogue foregrip
barrel(i like my stiffi, but they are costy for a 1 piece, i hear good things about sceptor kits)
ULT if you want to liten your trigger pull
