View Full Version : Braided Steel Line

What's the length of the braided steel line on the RT Pro? I put a drop forward on it to tighten up the profile, but it just looks WAY too short. And since that's Red loctite on the threads I see, I think changing those lines is gonna be tough...

Really, only you can answer that. You need to measure from your valve to the port on your tank while it's on the valve so that the line loops nicely around and stays out of your way. Just don't have it looped too tight.

Your stock steel braided line is plenty long enough. I have a Custom products 2" flame drop forward and PMI T.H.O.R. regulator atached to my PRO. This drops it about 3" forward and 2 1/2" down. The only thing you have to do is change the angle of your asa elbow to about 45 degrees.

I believe in an earlier post, one of the AGD techs mentioned that they use a pink teflon tape on their fittings, not red loctite. Though, I may be wrong....
