So, I'm at the local indoor field, Tri-City paintball in St. Charles, IL, on Friday night and three different people asked me if my RT-Pro was an '03 Shocker. I guess that I have to hurry up and put my anti-Smart Parts sticker on my hopper. Given, with the Ule body, custom rail, and Hyper frame it really doesn't look much like your normal RT-Pro, but I have yet to see a Shocker with an X-valve. I'll post a picture so that you can judge for yourself.

IMO it is the best barrel made. It is made by Jaz Air Technologies. SLICEnDICE on AO sells them. I was trying to find a link to his barrels, but I can't find it. I'll post a link after I talk to him. Or, I'm sure that he wouldn't mind it if you PM'd him either.

I hope you guys were nice when you explained that your markers were mags. I guess as a newer player if somebody laughed at me and made me feel stupid when I asked about their marker I might get the wrong idea about those kind of players. You know something all encompassing and misguided like, "Mag owners are snobs!"

Clearly that isn't the case. There are tons of really nice helpful folks on this forum that will help new folks out. However the kids at your local field don't know that (cause if they had known about AO they wouldn't have mistaken your mags for Shockers). Just something to think about.

I'm not sure why they did that. I really go either way. I didn't like it at first, but it has grown on me. Besides, the marker weighs nothing. It you think that it looks bad now, you should have seen it with the "Y" frame.

That's okay...I had a kid come into the shop this weekend and ask me if my Adrenalin Angel was an Autococker...I refrained from pointing and laughing and explained that it was an Angel. There's alot of educating to be done here...perhaps if TK and Jon were to come down and spend a weekend at the shop with me, they could bring the word of the goodness that is AGD to the Gulf Coast of FL...

Heh, I'm glad to say that my marker has never been 'compared' to an '03 shocker. I think that the 03 shockers are plain ugly. I suppose that it's the Y grip on my mag that keeps people from asking such a silly question :p

I can see a resemblance in shape but there is no foregrip and the trigger frame looks completely different. untill seeing them side by side I would have never thought it looked anything like a shocker. It's really just the ule body that makes it look the same.

After reading this thread I was most amazed by the kid asking the one guy if his XMag was an inferno, but I got one better. When I first got my EMag, it had a powerfeed body and the stock barrel and at that time I still had the sight rail on. Any way this one kid that was no more than 15 w/ a rat impulse says " Is that a viperm1?" I was so shocked I just walked away, but it was ok because he found out later that day what is was like to be on the recieving end of my "viper m1"

I live in Las Vegas. I shoot a classic mag (upgraded to level X, hpa, JJ edge kit and a tac-one body). Even before the upgrades, no one knew what it was!! All you see here are Cockers and Spyders...but people were extremely interested in the simplicity of the mag. I should get a cut on advertising from AGD :) But, stepping on the field to play and watching the cocker guys fiddle with their guns is enough payment for me!!

Oh yeah I had a kid ask me if my Classic mag(for now) was an Omen. :D :D People tend to point and ask questions when you use a mag. I've attracted crowds with the mag and have only gotten great compliments. :eek: :D

I'm constantly asked what my marker is (tricked up PPS blazer) or if it's an autococker, so I'm not so insulted since they're sometimes kind of close. I usually have to explain to them how my blazer is superior in design than any autococker, but that it's always a matter of preference and that my preference is for my black powder coated 1k blazer :D.

I hope you're kidding on the Cavalier comment. It's a '98 Z-24. It has a 2.4L DOHC 4-banger with more torque than a '00 Civic Si (150hp/155tq, stock). It'll run the 1/4 mile almost a half second faster than that Civic, too.

I don't know what you like to trick out, maybe muscle cars, with which I obviously don't compete, but keep your stupid comments to yourself, jerk.

I havent had anybody actually argue over it with me, but its come close. Ive gotten the "no really, what is it", and the "your making that up", but i havent had to argue it much. People are really gonna be comfused soon. :D
