Logo design contest!

If this is in the wrong spot mods, please move it.

I need a new logo for Vaporworks, so I've decided to make a contest out of it.

I need a small logo that looks good, but is not too intricate. Something that could be easily milled into metal and such.

Think things like DYE, Warped Sportz with their small little brand symbol that stands for their company. I need something similar.

In return I'll offer up a $50 gift certificate to my other site, paintballtrader.com.

You can get an idea of the products I sell and our current logo at vapoworks.net.

Granted I don't have photoshop,I'm sure my idea is very simple compared to future submitted ones. I simply imagnied it on a gripframe like the DYE symbol and thought it would look nice.

Don't you guys think there could be any implication in using "VW" in the logo. I do believe Volkswagen has that trademarked. *shrug*.

Vapor works sells a differnt product/service. Furthermore the alphabet can't be copyrighted.

No, that was a legitimate attempt. I like it. I'll make some otherones. I assume you want it to be two colors (so you can mill it). BTW, how do you like #3?

I tried anyway but gave up but as I was trying to make one I realized that if you put a V and a W next to eachother it look like a zig-zag.

Goldie. I noticed you liked the VW with vapor coming off it.... are you looking for something like that? Wasn't sure if you wanted one that detailed since you wanted someting to mill into a body and such. I have a few ideas i'm going to be posting so I wanted to make sure what you wanted.

I am a Logo designer by trade and a huge fan of the job Vapor Works did on my bko. Usually, I do logo designing for much more than the certificate, but I have been waiting for so long to do a paintball design I would almost do it for free! Before I post my ideas I wanted to ask you to give me no more than 4 descriptive words that will describe your logo. Order them from most important to least important.

(i.e. creative, proffesional, reliable, high tech, fun, etc...)

I am in no way saying your designs are bad. I just meant that they are somewhat similar to WGp's and WGP may not like that. But that is some good work. I like #3 the best. I cant get photoshop to work so cant get my ideas up.

Well... my hands aren't the best precision instruments, but these are my ideas and I think you can tell what I meant to do with which lines are supposed to be parallel and what is meant to be in proportion to what. Lemme know what you think. I was more really going for just that symbol on the left of the "Vapor" to be the logo.

Goldie, I have been working on a few drawings but I havn't put anything into the computer yet. I got some good ones and im narrowing them down. I have been looking through thousands and thousands of fonts and the one you have on your website is the best fit; it works well. To complete my logo I wanted to know the name of that font so i could provide a better image to you

OUchimhit- What font did you use on those you posted?? I'm interested mostly in that oval shaped one.

The font I used as a guide is "OCR A Extended". I used it in macromedia flash. If you look at the original font its more "bubble" shaped, so I made the outlines all hard. I can send you all the original Photoshop, Jpeg, and flash files if you need them.

Meh. Here's a few I whipped up. I doubt you'll like any of them, so I'm gonna keep thinking of more ways... Good job so far, guys (and gals). Also... I ordered a BKO Wiring harness from Paintball Trader a few months back and it never came... Any reason why? It said $0 paid, but I paid with CC... So then I had to trade my BKO away :(
