we have 4 inches and more on the way, not packing snow though.:(

And it also sucks cuz we were suppose to have monday off but now we make it up for today.
oh well no schooool!

In all fairness, its like 25 below zero in addition to the snow and the roads were pretty bad this morning.

I think they just called off schools because the teachers didnt want to go out in the cold.

we had our first snow day in 6 years a couple weeks ago. I drove to school(because the one day I dont watch the news) and the roads were just fine. I think the school boarded just wanted to stop hearing the students complain about it. But we dont close for anything.

They've closed our university like...twice in the 3 years I've been here. One was a snow day, the other was 9/11.

So I walk 1/2 mile each way to class a few times a day no matter what.

My college closed for the blizzard last year for the 1st time in years, but didn't close on 9/11, even though you can see NYC and where the WTC was from campus (it's right on the Hudson, but in NJ, so you could see everything) I don't think anyone went to class tho.

I was hoping for a snow day from work, or at least a delayed opening, but no luck, I had to come in anyway.

maybe you guys should come to kansas no where else does it get so cold in the winter and so hot in the summer.

but only 4 inches is nothing. zero degrees is not bad intill you get 40 to 50 mph wind then it is damn right sucks.

I wouldnt say it gets very hot here during the summer(couple days in the hundreds) but those arctic air masses love to move in and sit over MN.

My dad finally caved 2 years ago when we were constantly getting 10-12 inches a night for days on end. I'm so glad we have it, It's a heavy mofo, but I doubt anyone really knows the joy of clearing a 4 car driveway of 12 inches of snow in less than 5 minutes until you actually do it.

Our school didnt close when we had 3 feet of snow in one night, The power/heating/water was out, and it was in the negatives outside...

(Of course so many people complained the superintendent got fired :) )

Nope Chicago is crappier, we have had a pretty mild winter and not much snow which has been a plus....oh yeah I don't have school tomorrow, for no damn reason w00t!

4 inches, but it stuck to the roads BAD!, i dunno it's weird, it was i think 10 degrees windchill in the negatives.
i just want summer, i want to play some paintball!, and the only way i'll play is if we set up the field and work on it, and its' too hard in 10 degree weather

although me and my 2 buddies were practing break outs on the ice with snow on it, fun stuff for diving,:D

lol true, but you can't ski/snowboard on ice. Can't walk outside or down stairs on ice. Can't have a snowball fight with ice. I guess they both suck, but at least you can have some fun with snow.
