Cheap place to get x-box?

Well, some of you might remember I bought my bro a xbox for x-mas and I just got my bonus from work.... was kinda thinking along the lines on investing in an xbox. the cheapest I've seen them though was 179$ @ wal mart. If someone can tell me where I can get a deal I might actually do this!! I've never owned a console game before...this one is cool though and It's getting expensive trying to geep up with everyones graphics cards and stuff, my new 1300 AMD with a geforce 2 mmx doesn't harldy keep me compeditive in cs anymore :(

I snagged a used one from here for $110 shipped. GameStop sells used Xbox's for $149, refurbished Xbox's for $159, and new Xbox's for $179. My advice would be to look around the boards here and see if anyone is selling one. Good luck. :D

I got my xbox from gamestop, with free overnight shipping. It came with brute force, Tetris Worlds/Star wars on 1 cd, a demo disc, and a Mechassault t-shirt. Its an awesome deal, I love the hell out of it! :D

I bought my refurb one for 150$ at www.gameinformers.com and it came with halo and sega gt w jet set radio future. I don't think they have the special with halo anymore but you can get it with true crime or knights of the old republic for 140$. go to their site and click on special deals.

I know it might be a long wait, but I would just wait for xbox 2. Just my oppinion.

will it be compatible with the first one?

I looked all over e-bay and only found a few that were new but they were all fairly expensive
