EDIT: After reading this post, please go read the 4th post.

Hey, I was wondering what you guys think of this...
It's a picture of the new (2005) Ford Mustang. It looks like the top panels come off, but i'm not sure if it is a T-Top or a Targa roof. What do you guys think? Also, if anyone was at the IAS, can you shed some light on this? (I think that Ford was displaying the new Mustang at the IAS, and maybe someone got a good view of it)

Thanks,
mjs

One more picture...

By the way...Notice how the part of the roof over the door looks like it doesn't come off...this is one of the reasons why I think it might be a Targa rather than a T-Top.

Hate to burst your bubble, but that is just the concept vehicle. The production 2005 mustang looks quite different. There are pics of it all over I am just too lazy to find them.

UGH stupid Ford...

It seems to me that car companies can't do anything right anymore. For instance, the 2005 Mustang: Looks great, but it should have been more like the prototype in my opinion, and the opinions of just about everyone who i've asked about it. Also, the Mazda RX-8: It looks/sounds/drives great and all, but I think that Mazda sort of wimped out in that it isn't a 2-door 2-seater like most people, as far as I know, would of liked it. Idunno, maybe i'm crazy, but I think that all these car companies are wimping out, thinking that the prototype or original idea won't sell well and thus making toned down versions (that then sell worse than the prototype would have).

Uhm actually Mazda is working on a new 2 door 2 seater RX-7. The RX-8 is an image car and a gradual return to higher end performance!

Did you hear about Mazda resesinging the Miata? They are trying to make it more masculine. Check it out

The new Vette owns Stangs :p

Yea, the Corvette is faster than the stang, but the Corvette starts at around $50,000, and the Mustang GT is around $25,000 - $30,000, which is about half the cost. Then theres also the issue of looks...but, to make a stang look like a vette or vice versa just wouldn't be right...that's just not cool, lol.

New vette is starting at $40k and has 400 hp.

I really like the side view of the new stang

No....the prototype had a spare tire in the trunk/fastback. They got rid of it in the production version though.

I think the new 'stang looks cool as hell. Still, I want a Jeep Wrangler.

The production model looks decent. I was really feeling the concepts rear bumper and solid B pillar.
