i dont understand the "reactivity" of these valves. is it like the reactive trigger on a tippman? or not so much.a friend of mine used to have a retro valve and he said he was never able to get the trigger to reacte.

Somewhat like a Tippy, but not as extreme. The reactivity can be adjusted be changing input pressure, from very little reactivity to full runaway (auto). Most people have them somewhere in between.

The RT effect is to reset the trigger REALLY quickly. Can it bounce like the tippmann RT? Yes- but it has to be made to do so.

Otherwise, it just is a fast recharge/reset. The Tippman RT does nothing for the recharge of the valve, it just kicks the trigger. The RT/Xvalve redesigned the air flow in the valve to make it fast. The RT kick was a side effect.
