Hey everyone, recently I purchased my first mag and I was wondering if I could have some help with trying to determine the age of it. As the previous owner didnt know the age of it either. Also its the only one like it in New Zealand so that doesnt really help either.

It is a 68MicroMag made by Gun F/X. It came with all matching ano'd parts, like body, trigger frame, barrel, x chamber, asa, vert adapter.
Is there any point of telling you guys the valve serial #?
If theres anything else I can tell you guys that might help let me know

Cheers

its a micromag made by proteam products... (www.proteamproducts.com)

As for age it is probably not that old... maybe 4 years at the most... Have fun w/ it... :D

edit: found exact site http://www.proteamdirect.com/proteam/micromag2000.html

I'd say a little older then 4 years if it's the fixed barrel.

Looks exactly like all of the other fixed barreled PTP micros I've seen. They eventually came out with cocker threads. Did they produce an inhouse version of their fixed barrel that was threaded?

Thats probably from 96 or 97. It doesn't look like the original micromag 1 with the fixed barrel (released in 94). You can tell if it is newer micromag 2 (like 99-00) based on whether the power feed has one screw holding it to the body (older MM2) or 2 (newer MM2).

the fixed barreled micros had a crown point style on the tip.

this is the stock armson barrel that came with micromags.

Its not fixed guys... you can tell just by the length. The fixed micros were shorter.

My bad. I thought the removable barrels had "windows" (like the CP) milled into the end - like the rest of the Armson's.

Hey guys, thanks for your help so far :)
Well first off, yes it has a cocker threaded barrel. Annoyingly I have 7 barrels all up now for it and my 'cocker.
I know that ProTeam and Gun F/X are essentially one in the same, but the manuel does say its made by Gun F/X.
Also yes it has one screw holding the powerfeed on.
I assume it is fairly old as the serial # is GFX001733

And sorry I wouldnt have a clue why it is triple reg'd with the gladiator, it came with it already on it. so it will probably end up on my cocker eventually.

Weeellllll,,,,, that would be actually true :D I know alot of people on the local NZ forums that swear by their products, especially the new Cyborgs, virtually everyone who got to try them loved them instantly at the first major tourny for this year, The Hamilton 04 VCOMP. Plus the MacDev factory team took first place too.

Oh and im not complaining that I got a gladiator reg :D

Is the ball detent integrated into the body or does it screw on? If it's a screw on ball dentent it's a 2nd generation Micromag (Around '95-96).
