I have some cosmetic touchups to do, such as repaint the trigger frame, and I will be putting on custom grips… but ain’t she pretty? :D

Nice! I've always been a fan of those old plastic battle grips Glenn used to use. My only complaint was the gap between the 2 halves if you use a UMB.

Was that a Piranha Short Barrel before the conversion? I've always been a fan of Palmer guns and I wish I hadn't sold my Stroker. :( One of these days I'll have to buy myself a Typhoon. Unless someone wants to trade me one for my Bushmaster... ;)

Thanks. :)

I am actually giving these grips away to a member of another forum. They don’t feel bad, in fact darn nice…. But since I can make my own grips and make them feel even better… why not!

Yeah, I have done a couple sets of grips for UMB use (and I have another one in my shop for the same thing). That gap is aggravating.

Yes, this is a Piranha SB conversion.

Typhoons…. Ahhh yes, those are nice too… got one of THOSE in my shop right now too. And have had a few Squalls come through as well.

I really like the PPS markers… good and hefty! For those who are worried about weight, you need not get one. ;)

Yep, that would be a stoker. Still looks odd to me. I now see that it in fact says "=Model= Piranha" on the barrel, but it looks a little different than any Short Barrel Piranha I ever seen. Can ya do me a favor and give me a few measurements? Tip of barrel to back of bolt and tip of lower scew to backbottle mounting bolt. Also, the distance between the tip of the barrel and the tip of the lower tube. This is really bothering me as I didn't think there was any differences between the SB Piranahs.

You bastich! I was going to make an offer. :)

I'm jealous of the marker. Got to use a Typhoon for a big game last year and I had a blast with it. Liked it a lot more than my 'cocker. About 10 of the guys I play with for these games are dedicated 'Mag/PPS owners and they get quite a few comments at the field.

To compare, his is much purdier than mine:)

I do hate the paint on the grip frames. One of these days I have to do something with mine...

They posted on the PPS Forum that it may be because they (PPS) extended the bottom tube. I will take measurements for you later though if you like.

LOL Sorry.

Yes, I know about the comments. I will now be packing both a Mag AND a PPS. ;)

Yeah… they lose the paint pretty easy. But what are you going to do? Nothing is perfect. ;)

Yes, when I get my powder coating station completed, I will indeed powder coat it. Until then, I will probably use some appliance enamel (black) and take my time.

As for what things normally mean….. I will leave THAT one alone. ;)

A little OT, what does a used stroker with a stabilizer go for these days?

Muzikman –

Tip of barrel to back of bolt – 11 ½”

Tip of lower scew to backbottle mounting bolt. – you lost me…. point it out on YOUR picture and I will measure mine and tell you.

Also, the distance between the tip of the barrel and the tip of the lower tube. – it is just shy of ½ inch.

But yes, this (as well as at least one other I have seen) has a longer bottom tube than others I have seen, to include yours. They all look great though INHO.

I am not sure off the top of my head. I think it would depend on the seller/buyer. $300-ish would probably get you one though. But again, I am not really up on it all. You could check at the PPS Forums or over at mcarterbrown.com. Lots more knowledgeable folks there about pricing than I am.

I picked up my stroker used from a guy in Canada for $325 with a female stab/UMB. It was a PMI-II that had been converted to a right-feed. The only things you have to be careful with are the barrels, which are generally fairly tight unless they've been bored and honed bigger. I think mine was no bigger than about .686-7 (RPS would blow up in it). It shot Diablo or smaller paints fine.

Oh yeah, you'll probably pay a bit more for a vert-ASA and a bit more than THAT for a dual-bottle. Back-bottles usually are the cheapest.

:) Thanks. As for bling-bling…. I guess, but not really. It isn’t “chromed” or anything… just shiny. :D But heck, if you run out of paintballs I guess you could just blind them? ;) (Seriously, it isn’t quite that shiny… not like chrome or high polish.)
