Two questions...

#1- What are pepsi cans made of?

#2- When heated (with a lighter) would it release toxic fumes?

Aluminum
Not sure about the fumes but I wouldn't want to breathe it

Soda/Beer cans are flammable, it just takes some effort. Don't go using them for heating things up.

Aluminum

I've Heated them many times, and I'm not dead (Many burn scars, but not dead)

Arg

Can anyone suggest a non-toxic, non-flammable/meltable, but bendable material?

Note- I'm almost positive that it wouldn't light on fire for what I'm using it... for...

Hope that made sense.

Double Note- Is tin foil (aka aluminum foil) tin or aluminum?

What exactly are you looking for?
The soda cans usually survive a minute or two once thrown into a fire and lasted that long then I put one on the stove (thats how I discovered they were flammable.
Wire hangers can take alot more heat. Home depot or a hardware store probably has sheetmetal.
I would just use some of the flashing I have in my room, but you don't have any :)

When Aluminum burns, it produces Aluminum Oxide(because really all burning is is heating it up and adding oxygen). Aluminum Oxide is poisonous. Thus, you will die.
