Paintball finally strikes it big with its own show on Fox Sports Net this Wednesday, January 28th, 2004. Make sure you spread the word and tune in at 3:30pm, local time, to catch this ground breaking event for paintball.

If you missed Huntington Beach last year, don't worry because now you'll be able to watch the action go down on Fox Sports Net. The first show is a full 30 minute episode dedicated solely to paintball and the Huntington Beach event that shocked both Southern California, and the paintball world.

We spoke to Chuck Hendsch, President of the NPPL, about episode 1 and he gave us a quick preview of the action. The show opens at the season finale in Miami, but quickly transitions to intense paintball highlights from Huntington Beach. After showing you some of the scoring rules and preliminary round clips, the episode focuses in on the finals match-ups (best out of 3) between the Ton Tons and Dynasty.

Paintball proved its demand by the intense interest Super 7 footage drew from its overwhelming debut on FOX earlier this year. FOX Sports has recognized the power in the paintball industry, and has signed a 6 show deal with the NPPL. The half-hour programs will showcase the inaugural 2003 season of the NPPL Super 7 World Series.

The first half-hour program will air January 28, 2004 and then for the next five weeks thru to March 3. Make sure you tune in every Wednesday at 3:30 pm (local time) to watch the top professional paintball teams from around the world battle it out in the world’s premier paintball series “The NPPL Super 7 World Series”.

Each half-hour program will cover a different NPPL event from the 2003 season, culminating in Episode 6, Special Edition show – 2003 Review. The NPPL Super 7 World Series show will precede the popular “Rush Hour” on Fox Sports Net, which consists of other popular action sport shows such as Bluetorch and 54321. Stay tuned for more to come.

just checked my listings......... and yes, it'll actually be on where i am:D. Big improvment from the splatterfactor series. They aired golf instead. Though i do enjoy taking a wake at par4, would of much rather of seen what everyone else was complaining about.

Its 3:30 pm at your time, from pacific to eastern. I checked on their website for myself, 3:30 pm all times.

yeah, paintball on TV should be a sticky thread. I posted a similar thread a while back, it was read a lot and the people who replied liked it, but it was gone in about a week.

Did everybody else that watched it have subtitles? My T.V. had subtitles for that show but no other channel did. It was kind of annoying. I think OLN did cover it better, but this was still pretty cool

thats was pretty cool, a lil short but fun to watch fo sure. man that one french dude was like their only good player o so it seemed( the one that beat dynasty the first match ) what marker was that?

Those are ton ton imps, I liked it, thought it could be alittle longer, it was perfect though for new paintballers, how they explained everything.

I wonder if other "extreme" sports people can watch their own sport on cable without gagging.

Watching paintball on TV really stinks. It was near impossible to see the hits, and the amount of industry whoring was out of this world.

IIRC the show was made by cutting up an hour-long show/DVD/whatever from Pure Promotions.

Not too bad. For a first run, I think they did a pretty good job. They should lose the comentator that doesn't know jack about paintball and replace him with Robbo.

And that friggin angel comercial was incredibly annoying.

I'll make it breif!

1. OLN's coverage was better
2. A couple of times they would start to show a sweet move
then go on to something else. :(
3. They need to slow down and let me see the whole feild
too much bouncing around.
4. My TV had a the subtitles also, and it sucked!
5. Any paintball on TV is better than Dr. Phil any day!!!

Just my take, but I did like it. There could be some improvement, but all in all not to bad.

I thought they did an awsome job bringing it to a TV sport level. PLayer Bio, positions and field layout was a nice touch. I think this coverage will do alot in the mainstreaming of the sport. Colleges recogn1zing it as a sport (purdue) and now this...AWSOME!

I defiantly liked the Spider ad but the Angel ad was stupid and the scenes changed so fast I thought I was going to have a seizure. Nevertheless, other than that I was very glad that it came on. Now I just have to wait until next week...:cool:

This was the Huntington Beach one correct? I missed it on tv but I seen it in person last year. Me, Rogue and Bonx were sitting up on the pier in our AO Chairs watching ALL the action.

Yahoo says it'll re air friday saturday and Sunday in SoCal.

Darn closed captions on every one tho.:(

It was OK coverage,they really only showed the finals and then they cut out the middle game.Oh well,better than nothing or very little I guess.
