Ok. Just bought a sweet red > yellow fade (!!!) ULE-Emag. This is the pic that was in the guys for sale thread:http://mysite.verizon.net/jnormancryer/emag005.jpg

It comes this Friday (1-30-04) via UPS so I haven't actually seen it yet. I'll snap some pics when it gets here.

As it goes with me, I'm always looking at ways to improve the aesthetic and functional values of everything.

So, spending a few quick moments planning, and a 10 minute hack-job in photoshop, I've come up with a rough draft of what I hope to have my marker look like in a few months.:
http://mysite.verizon.net/jnormancryer/emag006.jpg

My grips and jewels are on the way from Frymarker, and I'm goning to be getting 3.2 software at Texball.
Right now, the Valve has Level ten, but I'd like to sell this valve/bolt combo and get an X-valve. I just haven't decided for sure if I'd rather do it before or after texball, as I might be strapped for cash going into the event.
Also planning on getting the trigger and body reannoed black. All in all, pretty dang sweet, right?

Any suggestions?

That was a Tequila Fade Emag at one time. I used to have one. I got a suprise for you. Those had ULE rails in them. From the factory. And ULE grip frames before anything else had those as well. Even today ULE Rails are not standard on anything. But those few first colored emags had them.

Yeah, I know:D:D:D

I just about freaked out completely when I saw this in the FS thread (for as low as it was, too! And nobody wanted it!) I was all set to drop some Cash on a Viking, but, well... Needless to say, I found a better deal:D

I know these are pretty rare, do you know how many they did in the Tequila fade?

25 I think. No more than that. I think it was 25 of them.

... and 25 each of the following: Red, Blue, Yellow to Orange Fade.

We know they also did some Red Splash. Maybe 15 or 20 at most. And a very few Red to Purple fades. Two or three of them. And a few oddball special ones I cannot recall them all.

I think that one you got was called Orange to Red fade technically.

PK did em,

I say keep the red body and get the x-valve

I actually have thought about that... But It kinda bugs me how it matches at the back, but not at the front.
I'll get the X-valve and a black barrel and see how I like it with a red body... I might change my mind... who knows?:D

I would go with the Black body myself. If you look close at them the red does not match that well. Should be able to trade it easy enough though.

Yeah, that or GTRsi is thinking about doing a bulk anno batch in gloss black that I'd throw my body, feedneck and trigger into...

25 I think. No more than that. I think it was 25 of them. So I got a 1 of 25 Tequila fade edition ULE Emag... for 700. :D Not bad. Not freakin bad at all. All the original parts, too. ;)

Nope... dats a good deal on it. Specialy with the stock stuff too. I was gonna say 750 would be a good buy on that.

I'd get the ULE body anodized to match the rail and battery pack. I've always been a fan of the Tequilla sunrise design. Nice looking mag you got there :)

Cool, where did you find AO heat shrink tubing?

I like how the red looks on there myself. I think the black body would make it look too drab. If you can't stand the red go with a nickel mainbody.

Also, loose the siterail.

I'll be proud to let you shoot that at me at Texball.:D

Those tequilas are nice. I like the red body. With the barrel, grips, valve, and feedneck all in gloss black. Ya ditch the sight rail.

Ever consider getting a C&C battery pack matched to the Tequila color?

I've thought about ditchin the sight rail, but it kinda looks naked without it, imo. Plus, there are 6 holes that need something in them. The red is growing on me, but I'm at least going to get my trigger annoed black. I hate silver triggers. I think if I got my body annoed black and kept the rail, it actually would look pretty good. Still deciding...

i guess its in the eye of the beholder, but i think the sight rails look horrible on the emag and the rtp. i do agree that the holes are an issue, but for me its easier to deal with them than the rail. its prolly because i watch too much q eye for the straight guy.

I kinda like how this looks:
http://mysite.verizon.net/jnormancryer/emagblack.jpg

What I would like to do (and I might once I save up some more $) is make a mag like my old one, but with a hyperframe and ULT. That would be sweet.

No to the sticker :)
Keep the red body
Keep the sight rail

I like it how it is now, just needs an X-Valve

I'm a bigger fan of sight rails than of exposed holes:o
