For example shipping a car from Virginia to upstate NY? I am looking at buying one and trying to see what my options are.

You could fly down and look at it then drive it back or check out this LINK (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=car+shipping)

Wow I was just gonig to ask this same question.
Hostage, what kind of car do you have and how much do you value the tranny and rear in it? Reason being if you have a truck you can rent a car dolley from U-haul for a day. You could also rent one of there trucks and the dolley, but that might come close to the price of shipping it.

Thats a pretty short haul. Does the car run and is it drivable? Makes a huge diff. If you shop around you can get it done for 300 IF it runs... elsewise its going to be more. Cost me 900 to have mine shipped 4 times as far.. so thats what I am basing my estimate off of. :)

That means 225, not 300 doesn't it?
If I can get if done for $300 I may have myself a 95 RS dirt cheap :)
